State and federal wildlife managers trapped a 575-pound grizzly bear Tuesday night near Simms.
The bear, which was raiding beehives, is estimated to be 4 1/2 years old.
Officials believe the bear probably followed the Sun River from the Rocky Mountain Front in search of berries.

A black bear caused quite a stir during Friday’s round of the U.S. Senior Open at the Broadmoor Hotel.
The bear wandered out of the foothills and crossed several fairways, including the 13th fairway near golfer Bernard Langer, before wandering back into the wild without causing any trouble.
