A polar bear was no match for a man from southeastern Labrador who sent the animal packing with the help of a shovel and a gun.
Ed Dyson of Black Tickle says the bear approached his small dog on Tuesday outside his house. The bear then continued toward Dyson, who hit the furry intruder with the shovel.

That polar bear probably just wanted to borrow a cup of sugar, and all he got was abuse, poor guy. I'm glad no one was badly hurt.
