Governments should use a forthcoming conservation meeting to increase protection for endangered species ranging from cheetahs to dolphins, UN officials and NGOs said today.
Representatives of more than 100 governments will gather in Rome on Monday to discuss a boost in measures for nearly 30 species threatened by pollution, climate change and over-hunting.
The meeting of the UN-backed will last through December 5.
