EQUIPMENT to treat cancer patients at The Alfred hospital in Melbourne has been used after hours on pets for 17 years without the Victorian Government’s knowledge or approval.
After a Sunday newspaper reported that 22 animals had been treated at the hospital’s William Buckland Radiation Centre since 2005, it emerged that the practice had been going on for much longer.
