It's got a face only a mother could love. It's mean, ferocious-looking and delicious. And because of steady population decline over the past 25 years from overharvesting and habitat loss, the Conservation Law Foundation believes the Atlantic wolffish should be an endangered species.
The CLF filed a petition with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Wednesday that, if successful, would list the deep sea, crustacean-feeding fish as endangered.
