Pets get ‘back-to-school blues’ too

It’s a tough time of year in the Delrio household.

Trevor, 10, and Tyler, 8, are headed back to school, and that means significantly less time with their dogs ? Shammie, a Siberian husky, and Duke, a golden retriever.

“The dogs get a little restless. They’re more vocal,” said mother Sheryl Delrio. “Shammie howls in the morning. They get sad? They wait by the back door for [the boys] to return home.”
