It happens nearly every week: Another raccoon that no one wants, dropped on the doorstep of Wildlife Rescue Coalition of Northeast Florida.
Most people know these masked marauders as the culprits of suburban hijinks: knocking over garbage cans, pilfering dog food, taking dips in uncovered pools.
But the raccoons that show up on the rescue’s doorstep aren’t just problem backyard pests. They’re also problem household pets.
