So at the Oregon Zoo, where a male Asian elephant calf was born Aug. 23, keepers have scoured dictionaries and other sources, searching for an appropriate name. Something that reflects the species' geographical origins. Something that helps visitors remember that wild elephants range in shrinking swaths of habitat, which are worthy of attention and care. And, frankly, they'd like a catchy name.

you should name him some kind of name that fits in with his personalaty. if he is sponky call him Zach or maybe after his father. i was thinking maybe coalbolt. if that dosen’t do then i would reccemend the name after his father.

i think you should name him “Ranjit” it means delightful, and elephants are, esecially baby ones. and if we keep destroying the elephants habititats, there won’t be any more! thats why i think you should name it that, and its a bit catchy too. i think. oh, also its an elephant name, i got it from a website that has a whole bunch of elephant names and there meanings, and i liked this one!!!
