If Lola's happy, everybody's happy. The scratch marks that covered Kathryn Sutton's head -- every one the late-night handiwork of Lola, her purebred Burmese cat -- have vanished.
After months of anguish, Sutton and her partner Andy Price have finally found peace. Now that the once-raging Lola has been prescribed the antidepressant Novo-triptyn, Sutton's scars are only psychological.
"I remember laying in bed at night, probably anticipating a face attack, and thinking, 'This is what my life is going to be like for the next 18 years,'" said Sutton. "At that point it seemed so hopeless and far more likely that I was the one who was going to end up on antidepressants."
