A baby male tapir joins the menagerie at the Jackson Zoo.
The bundle of joy was born to Malayan tapirs Symphony and Larue on mid-day Saturday.
“We are very excited to welcome this new addition to the Jackson Zoo family,” zoo director Beth Poff said in a news release. “We’ve observed the little tyke sticking very closely to his mother, and he seems to be doing very well.”
