A northbound semi-trailer truck filled with bananas hit a buffalo on Interstate 380 near the Brandon exit at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to KCRG-TV9.
Some 25,000 to 35,000 bananas in 40-pound boxes tumbled out onto the road. The semi came to rest across the southbound lanes of the Interstate, and another vehicle hit the truck.
The accident blocked both southbound traffic lanes for a time Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
