WebVet, The “WebMD for Pets”, Launches

When you're looking for reliable information about human medical conditions, you can always turn to health portals like WebMD, RightHealth, OrganizedWisdom or iMedix. But what if your cat has stopped eating or your dog has started losing its hair? You'd probably resort to Googling the symptoms in hope that you could save yourself a trip to the vet.

WebVet is a content site launching today that aims to provide a comprehensive collection of articles regarding pet health so you don't have to scratch around the net for this information. It begins by focusing on dogs, cats, bird and other small animals, but founders Hope Schultz and Bill Zaccheo plan to expand coverage to include exotics, fish and farm animals.

I like petwave.com much better. It has more pet information, is easier to use, and overall its just a better place to find answers regarding pet health questions.

I disagree. No idea where the info comes from on that site (petwave) and not much of it looks original.

Hey Mike, You must have missed it, but at the bottom of each page they source where the information comes from. I have read articles submitted by the ASPCA, individual veterinarians, behavior specialist, Pfizer, and many more. http://www.Petwave.com is awesome!!!!

My four year old black lab appeared to be chocking on a piece of toast last Wednesday. His back end began to collapse and his whole body seemed to be convulsing, could there be other health implications with his symptoms or was he simply chocking?

You should definitely ask a veterinarian. My dad's a vet, but I'm not. :)
