Students who have pets at home know how hard it is to leave them behind. They grow attached to their pets over time and not having them in their lives is difficult.
Jennie Hoeft, a freshman, has had her dog Max since she was 12 years old, and is having a hard time adjusting to life without him.
"I only get to see him about every two weeks, and that's not enough," Hoeft said.
