Conditioning also might have induced other behavioral alterations from the shock of the island within the fishbowl treatment. But, yeah, REM sleep is good, and certainly at maintaining a slew of mental abilities as well as physical resilience. (post rem sleep I believe is good too). F’n cruel, and bad science too.
